Become an Intern

EFL has a unique Internship Programme designed for prospective interns where we encourage both local and foreign students to apply. The prospective intern will undergo training under the supervision of one or more staff members, depending on the thematic area and topic of work for the duration. EFL will design the work programme in consultation with the intern and other key staff members. The intern will have brief exposure to the technical aspects of environmental conservation and sustainable development during the scheduled site visits, technical programmes and also gain experience on working as part of a multi-disciplinary team within a structured organisation.

EFL encourages internships which would cover a minimum of 3 months duration. We have recognised through experience that in order for internships to be both effective and meaningful (for the intern and EFL), an intern needs to be with the organisation for at least 3 months duration.

Internships are available for periods of 3, 6 and 12 months. However EFL reserves the right to make exceptions depending on the intern’s capability. Short term placements are also offered non technical internships.
